The wiki is in a relatively poor state of repair, with many or even most pages being out of date.
Observations
The LinuxHints section is not comprehensive enough to be authoritative. This section would be better to link more extensively to good sources of documentation than try to document things ourselves.
The meeting calendar has become unwieldy. In particular, MeetingRecords doesn't contain enough information to help you find information about an old meeting (if that is your purpose).
The BookReviews section, which has been one of the most active areas over the past year, should be given emphasis as one of the more valuable areas of the site.
Tasks
We should develop a macro like Template:Out_of_date so that we can tag pages as old. This will draw attention to the fact that they are outdated, and invite people to update them. If nobody updates them, we can use the tags to identify which should be deleted.
Restructure the LinuxHints section, not necessarily according to Nav, but perhaps to give users a good introduction to various areas of Linux.
Add screenshots and photos, now that we are running wiki software that will allow them to be uploaded.
- Improve the homepage, venue and meeting pages to give a better introduction to the activities of the LUG.
