[Hampshire] LVM Unmounting

Hi all,

Quick LVM question - is it necessary to unmount an ext3 partition
before growing it? I'm pretty certain I've grown LVM partitions
before without bothering to unmount them, but have a sneaky
suspicion that may have been with ReiserFS.
