 My main issue is that 8 years ago, 1920x1200 was a good resolution for 
 a desktop
 In that time, computers have improved immensely in nearly all respects, 
 except
 for screen size which seems to have gone backwards.
 By now, 1920x1200 should be the bog standard, and higher resolutions 
 (such as
 the Chromebook Pixel) should be at the expensive end. Despite the 
 increase in
 resolution of phones and tablets, desktop/laptop resolutions have got 
 worse.
 In regard's to Alan's comment - I've never used Facebook, but assuming 
 that it's
 similar to Google+, high resolution is definitely useful when viewing 
 photo
 albums.
